SOMERVILLE, Ala. - A traffic stop by the Morgan County Sheriff's Office led to the arrest of a man with multiple outstanding warrants.

On Tuesday, deputies stopped a vehicle near Hamby Circle in the Somerville area. After providing identification, the passenger, Donald Joe Pugh, 44, fled into the woods. K9 Corporal Kendrick and K9 Deputy Jeb quickly tracked and located him.

Pugh was taken into custody and charged with attempting to elude a police officer, obstruction of governmental operations, and resisting arrest. He also faced warrants related to paraphernalia and possession or receipt of controlled substances.

Pugh was booked into the Morgan County Jail with no bond.
