2Man found shot dead on Southeast DC sidewalk as police hunt gunman

Washington, DC — A man was found shot to death late Monday night on a Southeast DC street, setting off a homicide investigation as detectives work to uncover who pulled the trigger and why.

Officers were called around 10:30 p.m. to the 3500 block of Minnesota Avenue SE following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the ground, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics rushed to the scene and attempted lifesaving efforts, but the man was pronounced dead where he lay. His name has not been released as police work to notify his family.
