Chelsea were forced to come from behind to rescue a disappointing draw away to Qarabag in the Champions League .

The Blues, playing on the road in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku , seemed to let the jetlag catch up to them as they faded after a fast start. Estevao struck inside 20 minutes to put them ahead, but his opener seemed to kick the hosts into gear.

Their pacey counterattacking play had Chelsea at sea, and Qarabag were soon level through Leandro Andrade. Marko Jankovic’s penalty ten minutes later, awarded for Jorrel Hato’s handball, had them ahead at half-time.
