More than 375,000 hybrid vehicles are being recalled because of a potential battery failure that can cause a fire. According to CNN, the recall impacts some 2020 through 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe SUVs.

An estimated 320,000 of the recalled vehicles are in the U.S.

The recall comes as Stellantis has received 19 reports of fires related to battery issues. The automaker says a fix for the problem is coming, but for now, owners of affected vehicles need to park outdoors. The vehicles should be parked away from structures and should not be charged due to the fire risk.

The vehicles are more likely to catch fire when charged than they are when the battery has been depleted.
