BOWLING GREEN — Perhaps it’s no surprise that the largest artificial intelligence conference in the Midwest is filled with enthusiasm and optimism.
Great Lakes AI Week’s main program began Wednesday morning on the campus of Bowling Green State University, the nation’s first university to begin offering an AI degree pathway. A day earlier, there were workshops at the University of Toledo’s College of Engineering, and a reception inside Maumee Bay Brewing Co.
More than 1,500 people are attending at least one day of the sold-out event, according to Zack Huhn of Enterprise Technology Association, one of the event co-founders.
The BGSU Student Union ballroom that serves as the event’s anchor had an upbeat vibe to it as national experts, computer scientists, and area businessmen such as Toled
