GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Wednesday from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Fruitvale Elementary School, located at 585 30 Road in Grand Junction, the Living Water Vineyard Church will host a free community food giveaway for local families.
The organization of the event was made in response to potential delays or disruptions to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits occurring this November.
“Fruitvale Elementary has over 300 families, and more than 100 rely on SNAP benefits each month,” said Pastor Bob Clifford, lead pastor of Living Water Vineyard. “We want to make sure no family goes without food during this time of uncertainty."
