LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
An investigation is underway as to what caused the UPS plane crash at the Louisville Airport that left 9 people dead and 15 injured.
Todd Inman with the National Transportation Safety Board, said they have found the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder, commonly referred to as a black box, from the aircraft. Inman said the it has suffered some heat from the crash but they are built to withstand this type of damage. Advertisement
Inman said the recorders were updated, installed at two different dates. They will be sent to to a lab in D.C. to get a read on the data to help understand what happened.
