Hillsboro leans on its line to return to 5A playoffs for fourth consecutive season

Hillsboro’s playoff fate was up in the air until the final two weeks of the 2025 football regular season.

The Spartans qualified for the Class 5A playoffs in each of the previous three seasons, but to extend that streak to four — something they hadn’t done since 2006-10 — they likely needed to win their final two games against Forest Grove and Canby, since their No. 17 ranking going into Week 8 would have left them on the outside looking in.
