A man is in a critical condition after being pulled from a swimming pool by staff at a St. Paul hotel earlier this week.
A St. Paul Police Department spokesperson tells Bring Me The News officers were called to the Quality Inn just after 4 p.m. Monday. The hotel is located on the 1900 block of University Avenue West.
Before first responders arrived, hotel staff pulled the man out of the water and began CPR.
Along with police, medics from the city’s fire department responded to the scene, and rushed the man to the hospital.
After speaking with witnesses, officers say this appears to be an accidental near-drowning.
As of Wednesday morning, the man was in critical condition.
