HUDSON, Ohio — Hudson City Council President Chris Foster has resigned both from his position and his seat in the chamber, the legislature announced Wednesday.
Council did not give a reason for Foster's decision to step down, but his departure comes less than 24 hours after two of the chamber's members were seemingly ousted in the general election . Foster, who had represented Hudson's Ward 2 since 2019 and served as council president since 2021, was not on the ballot.
"Per the Hudson City Charter Section 3.11, the position will be filled temporarily by appointment by the majority of the remaining Council members, then by voters for the remainder of the term at the next general election," legislators said of Foster's council seat.
