KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A trip to a Blue Springs convenience store ended up making one Missouri Lottery player $150,000 richer.
A Powerball ticket purchased at Happy Hour, located at 1801 N.W. Route 7, turned out to hold a $150,000 prize for the man.
The prize initially would've been $50,000, but totaled $150,000 after he decided to add the Power Play option to his ticket for the Oct. 15 drawing.
“About 80% of the time, I choose Quick Pick. I started adding Power Play to my tickets about two years ago,” the man said.
"I was drinking coffee and looked up the winning numbers. I was just taking a sip, I started shaking and dropped my cup – broke my cup.”
The winning numbers were 10, 13, 28, 34 and 47, with a Powerball number of 15. The ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers drawn
