Fort Saskatchewan RCMP have received two reports from October 23 to November 3 flying near the Fort Saskatchewan hospital, a hospital that has a heliport.

The RCMP wants to remind the public that drone flyers must be aware of the requirements and rules while doing so. Transport Canada recently changed the rules and penalties when flying drones, including never operating a drone in a reckless manner, staying away from emergency sites, register and mark a drone if it weighs 250 grams or more and following the rules of the Canadian Aviation Regulations.

Other laws such as trespassing and privacy rights laws must also be respected at all times.
