SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Shreve Memorial Library is celebrating National Native American Heritage Month throughout November with a full lineup of free programs that honor Indigenous cultures, stories, and traditions.
Events include bead and craft workshops, pottery and art classes, film screenings, book discussions, trivia games, and food demonstrations at branches across Caddo Parish.
Highlights include: • A genealogy workshop on tracing Native American ancestry, November 13 at 11 a.m. at the Broadmoor Branch. • Book discussions featuring The Night Watchman and Becoming Little Shell will take place on November 8 and 13. • Film screenings of Geronimo: An American Legend and Pocahontas at select branches. • Beading, pottery, and art workshops inspired by Native American craft
