LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A teenager is being tried as an adult in court following his alleged involvement in a recent central Lincoln shooting .

On Oct. 24 at 7:41 p.m., Lincoln Police were dispatched to Casey’s, located on 26th and O streets, on multiple reports of a male shooting a pistol four to six times.

Witnesses reported there was a group of individuals with the suspect and believed the suspect was shooting at someone. They directed officers to where the male was shooting, and officers located a single 9mm shell casing in the grass nearby, LPD said.

Around 8:05 p.m., officers searching the area were contacted by residents living near 28th and J streets who reported that someone had attempted to break into their home through a window before fleeing the area through the alley.
