GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Lincoln man is in the Hall County Jail facing felony charges following a sex crime investigation.

Pedro Aldis, 42, is charged with use of an electronic communication device to commit sexual assault and enticement by electronic communication device.

Beginning on Oct. 3, Grand Island police said Aldis started speaking with a person who he believed was 14 on social media. That person was an undercover Grand Island police investigator, court documents show.

The affidavit said the conversations continued with Aldis suggesting they meet to have sex. He drove down from Lincoln to a meetup location where police took him into custody on Oct. 31.

He appeared in Hall County Court where his bond was set at 10% of $100,000. His next court date is Dec. 1.
