CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The government shutdown has now reached 36 days making it the longest in US history. It's impact is being felt across the country, especially at airports. Many travelers at Buffalo airport are arriving early, unsure how the shutdown could affect their flights.
So far, things are moving smoothly in Buffalo, but across the country, thousands of flights have been delayed as TSA agents and air traffic controllers continue to work without pay.

With Thanksgiving travel right around the corner, the government shutdown is adding another layer of stress for people flying out of Buffalo. According to NBC news, more than 5,000 flights were delayed this past weekend as TSA and air traffic control workers
