PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- On October 31, 2025, McCracken County High School received a phone threat of a potential school shooting, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.
School resource officers at McCracken County Public Schools requested assistance from the McCracken County Sheriff's Office. As deputies made their way to the school, the high school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
The sheriff's office said threat was not immediate and the campus was safe. Despite this, authorities helped with escorting students from the building just in case.
