Friends and family are mourning the loss of a 15-year-old Dartmouth girl killed in a violent early-morning crash on Route 140. Now, her family is asking for help as they try to return her body to her native Brazil.

Anne Caroline Torres was involved in a single-vehicle crash just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, near mile marker 2.1 in New Bedford, authorities said.

When first responders arrived at the crash site, they found a gray 2019 Honda Civic with heavy damage in the woods beside the highway. Two people had been ejected from the car.

Torres was found with life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

A 17-year-old boy from West Yarmouth was also pronounced dead at the scene after suffering catastrophic injuries in the crash, authorities said.

The 18-year-old driver from Dartmouth was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Fall River Reporter, citing Brazilian media, said they were returning home from a party when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Torres' Loved ones created a GoFundMe to honor her final wishes and help return her body to her native Ponta Grossa, Brazil.

Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
