FORKS. — The Peninsula Crisis Response Team was called to Forks this week to help arrest a wanted robbery suspect — but the man is still on the loose.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office says 31-year-old Frederick Crawford of Forks is accused of stealing a rifle from another man at Lake Pleasant Community Park last week — then threatening him and smashing his car window before taking off.
Deputies later identified Crawford as the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest on charges including first-degree robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, and malicious mischief.
Detectives tracked Crawford to a home on Shuwah Road near Forks Tuesday and confirmed he was there using a drone, but an extensive search turned up nothing.
