CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Incumbent Mayor Tiffany O'Donnell has been reelected, defeating challenger Myra Bradwell. O'Donnell first became mayor in 2022.
After the polls closed, O'Donnell reflected on the changes she has observed in the community over the past few years.
"One of the biggest challenges was reminding people and showing them they deserve so much more—good isn't good enough," O'Donnell said. "Four years in, I feel like that message has been heard loudly and clearly. It's not just me saying that, we have a community that expects more from each other."
O'Donnell expressed her excitement to leverage recent economic growth to continue strengthening the community and expanding opportunities.
