GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island Police are investigating after a possible overnight explosion.
GIPD officers were dispatched to an area on South Pine Street near East Fonner Park Road early Wednesday morning before 1 a.m.
Division Chief Dean Elliott said some type of explosive device was placed on or thrown on a person’s vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle’s hood and engine compartments.
Police don’t know if the victim was targeted, if it was random or a mistaken identity.
The investigation is ongoing.
