Clark County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Vancouver man Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly made threats against a local bank, which included using a bomb and assaulting bank staff, the agency said.

Kit Morrison, 62, was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of felony harassment and bomb threats.

Deputies, with help from the Southwest Washington Regional Special Weapons and Tactics team, served a search warrant about noon in the 4700 block of Northeast St. James Road. There was a large police response in the area for several hours.

Morrison was taken into custody without incident, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The sheriff’s office did not identify the bank that was the target of the alleged threats. Tags Vancouver
