A non-injury crash between a tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle in a construction zone between eastbound Interstate 264 and northbound Interstate 71 is causing heavy traffic delays on both highways, a MetroSafe supervisor told The Courier Journal.

The crash was first reported at 2:13 p.m., the supervisor said. A tow truck is headed to the scene to help clear the vehicles involved in the crash, though it is unclear when normal traffic could resume at the interchange.

The construction zone is in place for the ongoing work to widen I-264 and reconstruct the interchange with I-71, The Courier Journal previously reported.
