LINCOLN, Neb. —
A teenager has been temporarily released from the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in Kearney following sex abuse allegations involving a staff member.
The teen’s mother, Jennifer, said her son had a hearing Monday in Lancaster County juvenile court. The judge ruled it was in the teenager’s "best interest" to be temporarily furloughed — allowing him to return home with his family.
“He just put in applications for three jobs today. So we are hopeful for good things," Jennifer said.
