CORALVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) - Top-seeded Clear Creek Amana fell to North Scott in five sets in the Class 4A state volleyball semifinal at Xtream Arena.
After sweeping their first-round opponent, CCA would get a rematch against the Lancers who were one of their three regular season losses on the season.
The Lancers were on verge of victory in the fourth set, but CCA came from behind to force a fifth set. The Clippers built a 13-10 lead in the fifth, but North Scott battled back to erase the deficit. The Lancers secured the match point to clinch their spot in the state championship game.
Averie Lower led Clear Creek-Amana with 19 kills and 22 digs. Bailey Simpson added 13 kills and Emily Henderson had 39 assists.
