Four days after the Dodgers made it two World Series championships in a row, the Yankees have begun to reshape their 2026 roster.

General manager Brian Cashman’s first decisions were bringing back one veteran reliever and cutting ties with another who had been with the club longer than any current player other than Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.

The Yankees have exercised a $3 million club option for 2026 on left-hander Tim Hill and opted against picking up right-hander Jonathan Loaisiga’s $5 million club option for next season, ESPN first reported.

Both decisions were expected.

Hill has been a reliable workhorse since joining the Yankees in May 2024 while Loaisiga once again showed once again that he can’t stay healthy in his eighth season with the club.
