SCHENECTADY — Schenectady County has declared the first Code Blue of the winter season as temperatures are expected to drop below freezing as a powerful storm system that is expected to bring high winds moves into the area.
The Code Blue will be in effect from 8 p.m. Wednesday through 7 a.m. Friday. Temperatures during that period are expected to fall into the 20s as a cold front moves into the region, bringing with it gusty winds and blustery conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Albany.
