The National Weather Service issued a report at 5:29 p.m. on Wednesday for gusty showers until 6:15 p.m. for Crawford County.
Residents can be ready for wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
"At 5:28 p.m., Doppler radar tracked gusty showers along a line extending from near Cambridge Springs to near Bristolville to near Tallmadge. Movement was southeast at 40 mph," adds the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects."
Locations impacted by the alert include Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Warren, Meadville, Salem, Ravenna, Columbiana, Cuyahoga Falls, Boardman, Kent, Green, Alliance, Niles, Tallmadge, North Canton, Streetsboro, Louisville, Campbell and Hubbard.
The weather service comments, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building."
