TEXAS CITY, Texas – A crash has closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 in Texas City.

According to Houston Transtar, the crash is located near the intersection of I-45 and FM 1764/Emmett F. Lowry Expressway.

Two vehicles are reportedly involved in the crash.

Cameras in the area show a heavy backup.

Prepare for delays or seek an alternate route.
