Washington Local Schools continues to negotiate possible tax abatements with the developer of a future retail complex on Central Avenue in West Toledo.
During a special meeting Wednesday, the school board voted unanimously to continue tax-incentive discussions with Abbell Associates, the Chicago-based company planning the development.
Board members voted without discussion following a 30-minute executive session held “for purpose of discussing a proposed real property tax initiative,” as the board put it in the meeting notice.
