On Wednesday at 9:19 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 9:45 p.m. for Berks, Chester and Montgomery counties.
Residents should be prepared for wind gusts of up to 60 mph.
"At 9:19 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Green Lane to near Honey Brook, moving east at 60 mph," says the weather service. "Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible."
Locations impacted by the warning include West Chester, Norristown, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Lansdale, West Norriton, East Norriton, Coatesville, Downingtown, Ambler, Birdsboro, Collegeville, Royersford, Parkesburg, Trappe, Hatfield, Honey Brook, Schwenksville, Elverson and Green Lane.
