The unofficial results of the Dickinson County City/School General Election are in following the Tuesday, Nov. 4 election.
Perhaps the county’s most contested race was for the three open spots on the Abilene City Commission .
Debbie Lytle was the top vote-getter with 514 votes, Incumbent John Kolhoff received 502 votes and Cy Taylor had 500 votes.
If the rankings do not change after the canvass, Lytle and Kolhoff will receive four-year terms, while Taylor will serve a two-year term.
With only 14 votes separating Lytle with the highest total and Taylor with the third highest, provisional ballots may make a difference in the rankings.
A provisional ballot is used when there are questions about the voter’s eligibility.
