LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Two Arkansans have been arrested after fleeing from an accident with a weapon.

Officials with the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office stated that 18-year-old Karma Young of Benton and a 17-year-old male from Pine Bluff were arrested following an extensive search.

Officials stated that both Young and the male fled into the woods carrying an AR-15 long rifle after a vehicle accident near Highway 367 and Highway 305 in Austin.

The sheriff's office and the Cabot Police Department's K9 team then searched, with both suspects being arrested.

Authorities said that the investigation is ongoing and that more information will be released as it becomes available.
