The W.D. Packard Concert Band will honor those who served in the military with its pre-Veterans Day Concert.
Galen S. Karriker will conduct the concert, which will include the songs associated with each branch of the military. Veterans in attendance will be encouraged to stand up when the song for their branch of the military is played.
The program will open with Timothy Loest’s “Fanfare for the American Veteran” and will include Samuel Barber’s “Commando March,” Leroy Anderson’s “Forgotten Dreams,” F.W. Meacham’s “American Patrol”, W. Paris Chambers’ “Boys of the Old Brigade” march, James Beckel Jr.’s “The American Dream,” George M. Cohan’s “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” the medley “Swingin’ Sounds of Yesterday” and John Philip Sousa’s “America (A Tone Poem)” and “Stars and Stripes Forever”
