GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The United States Department of Agriculture will pay out half of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefit payments for the month of November, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

SNAP recipients who normally get their benefits on the 3rd, 5th or 7th of the month will get 50% of their benefits on Saturday from MDHHS. All other SNAP recipients will get 50% of their benefits on their normally scheduled date. On average, SNAP households in Michigan normally receive $335.03 in SNAP benefits monthly — about $173 per person per month, according to the MDHHS.
