QUINCY, Mass. —
The Office of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF) ordered Quincy, Massachusetts, Mayor Tom Koch to pay $55,000 to resolve multiple campaign finance violations.
William Campbell, Director of the OCPF, penned a letter to the embattled mayor , saying he took thousands of dollars in illegal donations, including money from businesses and untraceable donors, in 2022 and 2023.
"After our review, and as discussed above, OCPF has determined that the Committee did not comply with various provisions of the campaign finance law," the letter read. "To resolve this matter, the Committee has made payments totaling $55,000, with $15,000 payable to the Commonwealth, and $40,000 payable to charitable entities of the Committee's choice."
