A Georgia teenager was arrested in connection with a threat made to McCracken County High School last week.

Last Friday, McCracken school resource officers requested deputies respond to the school because they had received a phone call where the person stated that a shooting was going to occur.

High school administrators placed the school on lockdown as deputies arrived, but no threat was found.

According to the sheriff’s office, their follow-up investigation led them to a suspect in Valdosta, Georgia.

On Tuesday, with the help of the Valdosta Police Department, detectives spoke with the 15-year-old suspect and determined the juvenile did make the threat to the high school.

An arrest warrant was issued for second-degree terroristic threatening.
