TORONTO, ONTARIO, Canada – The Utah Mammoth couldn’t retain their momentum from the previous night, falling 5-3 in a disappointing loss to Toronto.
The Leafs (8-5-1, 17 points) hosted Utah (9-5-0, 18 points) at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday, November 5.
Toronto begins the night third in the NHL in scoring, averaging 3.62 goals per game. 16 different Maple Leafs already have a goal this season, led by seven goals from Auston Matthews.
John Tavares (six goals) and William Nylander (five goals) trail Matthews but lead the team with 16 and 18 points, respectively. Matthew Knies (four goals, 12 assists) also has 16 points.
