West Coast coach Daisy Pearce is equipping her players for a “no surprises” mindset as they enter their first-ever AFLW final against their most recent opponent Carlton at Ikon Park on Saturday.

Crowd noise was pumped through loudspeakers at the Eagles’ training session on Wednesday and Pearce has drawn on her own experience as a premiership player with Melbourne to educate the squad about what it takes to win post-season.

“We know it’s the first time for a lot of people, so things like a bigger crowd, a national anthem, little nuances that finals bring. We’re talking about them so that there’s no surprises on the day,” Pearce said.

“But they’re just little one percenters. The main thing is just stick to what got you there and playing the moment.
