DES MOINES, Iowa —
Construction on the new $557 million Des Moines Airport terminal is ahead of schedule, with plans to add a third phase of airport gates sooner than anticipated.
Brian Mulcahy, CEO of the Des Moines Airport Authority, said, "It's really exciting to start to see all the renderings that we've been looking at for the years start to turn into reality. When you come around the driveway and see the terminal building looking like the terminal."
The new terminal and passenger gates are taking shape next to the new parking garage, and the airport has released new computer animation showing the timeline for the airport terminal construction.
The first and second phases include the terminal and seven new gates, and this week, approval for phase three was announced, which include
