Alyson Reynolds scored two goals, including the game-winner in the second half as 13th-seeded Neptune slipped past fourth-seeded Burlington Township 2-1 in the first round of the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group 3 playoffs in Burlington Township.
The Scarlet Fliers (8-10-2) earned the program’s first playoff victory in a decade. Ironically, the last postseason win in 2015 also came against Burlington Township.
They will face 12th-seeded Brick Memorial in the quarterfinals.
Meghan Rogers made nine saves to hold the Falcons (9-10) to just one goal.
