Allie Polyniak scored two goals and had one assist for second-seeded Pascack Valley in its 5-0 shutout against 15th-seeded River Dell in the first round of the North Jersey, Section 1, Group 2 Tournament in Hillsdale.

Gabby Velecela made three saves for Pascack Valley in its ninth shutout of the season.

Pascack Valley scored four goals in the first half against River Dell then added one more goal in the second half.

Maddie Wu, Avery Stein and Stella Vassallo each scored a goal for Pascack Valley. Lena Wolfe, Emma Sandt, Alex Lambrinos and Simone Gambino each had one assist.

Kate Nippes made six saves for River Dell.

River Dell ends its season with a 4-13-2 record.
