Officer Sam Taylor said he’s paralyzed from the chest down.
He says there is hope that sensation and movement can return.
“My injury is definitely life-changing, but with all things considered, I’m happy to still be here for my family and community,” he shared.
Officer Taylor says he’ll be at a rehab facility in Atlanta until January.
He shared thanks for all of the community support.
“The support has been absolutely unreal and motivating for me, and I can’t thank everyone enough,” he said.
