DAVIS, Calif. — Connor Sevilla scored a game-high 26 points on 6 of 7 shooting from 3-point territory as the Aggies held off North Dakota State for an 80-68 nonconference Division I men's basketball victory on Thursday.
Markhi Strickland paced the Bison with 17 points and had a game-high six rebounds.
The Bison shot just 11% (3-for-27) from beyond the arc. Tay Smith racked up all three Bison 3-pointers on 3 of 8 shooting from deep and finished with 11 points.
During one stretch, the Bison missed 14 consecutive 3-pointers.
After the game was tied at 26 at the half, the Aggies pushed their lead to 10 with 11:09 left on a Sevilla 3-pointer that resulted from a Bison turnover. Davis then made it 13-point game after a pair of Omer Suljanovic free thows with 6:40 to play.
