Omro man gets results on roof repair a year after recall notice

OMRO, Wis. (WBAY) - An Omro man who spent more than 13 months trying to get his roof fixed after receiving a recall notice from Champion Homes is now seeing those repairs made.

This comes after he contacted Action 2 News last week, saying he was growing frustrated after the roof began leaking in two different spots.

It was just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday that Michael Manders says work began on his roof.

It was previously covered with a tarp after it began leaking. That’s when he called Action 2 News.

Manders says he spoke to a contractor with Champion Homes on the phone last week, just hours after we left his house.

“I was amazed, really amazed, because after waiting so long, I didn’t know if I would hear anything or not. It happened so quick, I couldn’t believe it,” says Manders.
