SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Temperatures will take on a slight warming trend into the weekend, but if you head to the coast, make sure to watch our for king tides, bigger surf and some coastal flooding.

Area of high pressure starts to build into the weekend and will give temperatures a nice bump into Sunday.

A ridge of high pressure is building over the region, bringing a noticeable bump in temperatures through Sunday. Expect highs in the low to mid-70s along the coast and low 80s inland across the valleys, perfect for outdoor plans or a day at the beach.

However, beachgoers should stay alert — King Tides are returning through Friday night, bringing larger surf and minor coastal flooding during morning high tides, especially between 8 and 9 a.m. Wave heights are expected to reach 4 to 6 f
