ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The owner of a body shop on the Hill is helping victims of recent car break-ins, free of charge.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police say four cars were reported broken onto on Daggett Ave. on the Hill over Halloween weekend.
Just hours after the break-ins, Auto Art Collision and Restoration Center put a call on social media, with a no-strings attached offer for victims.
Owner Nick Distefano says so far, numerous victims have taken up the offer.
The offer still stands on Wednesday: any car break-in victim can stop by Auto Arts for a temporary fix or an estimate for repairs.
Crime data shows car break-ins are down in the Hill so far in 2025.
