When 11-year-old Braydon Thomas joined Come Alive Outside as the organization’s youngest intern, he brought curiosity, energy and a heart for community. Over the summer, Braydon helped plan events, participated in local activities and learned firsthand how outdoor programs can build confidence and connection. Braydon, who lives in the Rutland County area, shared his reflections on his experience and his big dream for an inclusive winter event in his own words below.
I’m Braydon, an 11-year-old from the Rutland County area. I became a part of Come Alive Outside at 10 years old as an intern. I play football, baseball and do wrestling through the rec program in my community. I have eight siblings in total — four biological and four bonus (but I still consider them my sisters and brothers). W
