DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Minnesotans woke up to history made in the state after the elections, but closer to home, the Duluth city council received a major shake-up.
In one of the biggest races, incumbent Terese Tomanek and Jordon Johnson, a newcomer, were selected to the Duluth City Council at-large seats.
Johnson joins Diane Desotelle, who earned the district two seat, and David Clanaugh, who earned the district four seat, as fresh faces to the nine-person council.
For Tomanek, who has served as council president since being unanimously selected this January, she’s ready to get to work with the new members.
During her campaign this year, she says she heard many of the same concerns she heard from voters during her campaign four years ago.
