SUPERIOR, Wis. (Northern News Now) - The University of Wisconsin-Superior men’s and women’s soccer teams are heading back to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Championship matches after shutting out their opponents in the opening round of the tournament.

For the regular season conference champion men, they hosted the Crown Polars and scored three goals in the first half, Seth Davidson scoring two of them while Jacob Wyles added a goal in the 27th minute.

Joel Thomas scored the lone goal of the second half to give UWS the 4-0 lead they’d finish the game with as they move onto the championship, where they’ll face Bethany Lutheran College in a rematch of last year’s championship, which UWS won 6-2 for their seventh in a row.
